About

Hi, I’m Lee Bartholomew and I like to play with pixels.

Primarily this blog acts as a portfolio of all the digital work I do. Mostly you’ll find websites created for various organisations but you’ll also find little projects I’ve carried out for experimental purposes. Over time I may add other bits and pieces, like tutorials and inspiration sources.

How it all began…

I first started dipping my toes into the web design pool about eight years ago after being asked to create a website for the college I worked for. To begin with I knew absolutely nothing about websites or their creation, which meant I found myself buried in one hell of a lot of books and online tutorials. As time went on the website grew as did my desire to know more and more about this exciting new industry.

Since then I’ve gone on to create sites for family, friends and also the odd local business. I now carry out regular freelance work for all kinds of customer.

Skills

Over the years I’ve experimented with all the major design applications such as: Photoshop, Fireworks, Dreamweaver, Flash etc, and am now quite fluent with all of them. However, I never stop learning new tricks and continue to delve into books, tutorials and blogs in an effort to keep as up to date as possible.

Thank you for visiting Pixolomew, I hope you like what you see!
